Editor's Note:

Dear Friend,

By the time this arrives in your e‑mail, there may very well be preliminary reports on who has won the U.S. presidential election (but we are not betting on them). Whichever candidate wins, we wish him and his running mate success.

The Torah teaches us that every appointment to authority—even to a minor position—is divinely ordained. Mr. President-Elect: G‑d has placed you in this position of authority. This means that He believes that you have the unique qualities and skills to lead the U.S. and the entire world to a state of peace, harmony and G‑dly awareness. You are in the position to do much good, and we sincerely wish that you use these four years wisely.

And to everyone else who is reading this note, no need to wait until you become president to start doing good. G‑d placed us all in unique positions with opportunities that belong just to us; let's not squander them.

On the subject of leadership, this Sunday night we will be streaming live [ http://link.Chabad.org/go.asp?li=2BB98F6EC387DEBF430DBC6B6F332F71&ui=F8C16ABBBCDB72AD0024EE2F647D78D2 ] from the International Conference of Chabad Shluchim [ http://link.Chabad.org/go.asp?li=C9B76ADB9FE9689260509816748289CE&ui=F8C16ABBBCDB72AD0024EE2F647D78D2 ]. Please join us for this special event.

See you on Sunday!
