· "Moshiach's Torah Scroll" completed (1970)

The writing of the "Sefer Torah for the Greeting of Moshiach [ http://link.Chabad.org/go.asp?li=410107116A70360DB50A17AB800B1034&ui=F8C16ABBBCDB72AD0024EE2F647D78D2 ]," initiated at the behest of the 6th Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, in 1942, was concluded 28 years later at a special gathering convened by the Lubavitcher Rebbe on Friday afternoon, the 9th of Shevat, on the eve of the 20th anniversary of Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak's passing.

Indeed, there is no greater darkness than one in which "a man saw not his fellow" -- in which a person becomes oblivious to the needs of his fellow man. When that happens, a person becomes stymied in his personal development as well -- "neither rose any from his place."
